The workshop will run from 10am-4pm each of the three days. The 9am and 4pm hours are set aside for individual lessons. This one-on-one opportunity will provide each student a 30-minute lesson where specific needs can be addressed and solos critiqued prior to the afternoon master classes.
Not without an element of competition and humor, the last day of the workshop will include the Saxophone Olympics. This was created by saxophonist and teacher Frederick Hemke at Northwestern University. It is a three event competition to see who can play the Fastest, Loudest and Highest (FLH, Dr. Hemke's initials).
